
Chloe Brevelle began studying flamenco while attending Loyola University in New Orleans in 1996. Teresa Romero Torkanowski
taught the classes there, and Chloe started performing with her group, Ole Flamenco Ole. After graduating in 1998, she moved
to New York City, where she studied with Jose Molina, Victorio, and La Meria at Fazil's Studio.
In 2001, Chloe returned to New Orleans and joined the flamenco community there. She began performing with Micaela y Fiesta
Flamenca, with Michelle Paule as the director. The group performed regularly in the French Quarter, and annually at the New
Orleans Jazz Festival.
During this time, Chloe had been taking classes with Solangel Calix and Laura Jerez, and later joined the group Alianza Flamenca,
directed by Ms. Calix and guitarist John Lawrence. They performed weekly in the French Quarter, and in numerous venues and
festivals around the city.
Chloe studied and performed with legendary dancers who came to New Orleans, such as Antonio Hidalgo, Gloria de Jerez and Antonio
Vargas. In 2002, she traveled to the Festival Flamenco Internacional de Albuquerque, where she took classes with Mercedes
Amaya and Omayra Amaya.
Chloe was later able to work with Teresa Torkanowski again, in her group Ole Flamenco Ole. It was in Ms. Torkanowski's studio
that Chloe was able to start teaching, which she continued doing until she left New Orleans in 2004.
Living in Paige Texas, outside of Austin, Chloe has continued teaching and performing. In 2005, she danced with Olivia and
Isaii Chacon around Austin and San Antonio. A year later, she traveled to Sevilla, Spain where she studied with Manuela Reyes,
Lola Jaramillo, and Alejandro Granados.

Masako Numasaki, a native of Japan, moved to New Orleans, Louisiana in 1995. She began her flamenco studies under Teresa Romero
Torkanowski, Solangel Calix, Laura Jerez and Micaela Paule. In 2001, she became a member of the troop Micaela y Fiesta Flamenca,
directed by Micaela Paule. Masako performed on numerous occasions with this group, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage
Festival. During the same year, she became a member of Alianza Flamenca directed by Ms. Calix and guitarist, John Lawrence.
This group regularly performed at live music venues, restaurants, and theaters around the city. Alianza Flamenca also perfomed
at numerous festivals, including the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Mobile International Festival, the NBA half
time show, and more.
Masako has studied and performed with some notable artists, such as Antonio Hidalgo, Gloria de Jerez and Antonio Vargas.
She also attends the Festival Flamenco Internacional de Albuquerque annually to study from masters such as Mercedes Amaya,
Pastora Galvan, Ursula Lopez, Adella Campallo and Rafael Campallo. Every year, Masako studies from the Japanese flamenco maestro
Chizuko Otuka from the Academia de Flamenco.
After Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans in the summer of 2005, Masako relocated to Austin, Texas, where she continues
dancing and is invited to perform with local artists.
In 2007, Masako spent 3 months in Sevilla, Spain and studied from Yolanda Heredia, Pilar Ortega, Manuela Rios, Manuela
Reyes, Juan Polvillo, Lola Jaramillo, Rosa Belmonte and several other artists.
